Custom Web Design and Development
by Sublime Design Studio

We have quite a few clients who have no experience with doing business online, and we have some other clients who have had BAD experiences with doing business online.  So we have provided this page to explain how we go about designing a custom website.  We want you to know what to expect before we get started - No hidden surprises!

  • Initial Consultation - no obligation, no charge.

We meet with the prospective client, either in person or via telephone and discuss the client's needs and how we can best meet those needs.

  • Proposal

Within 48 hours, we submit a proposal to the client in writing.  Usually this is done via e-mail.  In our proposals, we break down all the costs involved and give guidelines about how long the project will take.  We make changes to this proposal as necessary until the client is happy with it.

  • Deposit

Once we are in agreement with the client about the work to be carried out, the client pays us 50% of our proposed costs, and we begin work.

  • Working to a Schedule

We do everything within our power to meet the time deadlines we agree to in our initial proposals, however there are a few things that are out of our control.  These include delays in the receipt of copy and images from the client; difficulties with domain registry transfers and hosting account transfers.  We always keep the client fully informed of unexpected delays and work to resolve them as quickly as possible.

  • Project Completion and Final Review

When the project is finished, we inform the client and ask them to make a final review.  We build two rounds of revisions into our quotes.  When the client tells us the site is ready, we submit our invoice for the final 50% of the job.

  • Maintenance - 2 options

Maintenance Contract - $100/page/year - this covers lots of things, and is ideal for large busy websites, and sites that require regular updates.

$65/hour - as needed maintenance - 1 hour minimum.
